HOSTEL FACILITY FOR CHILDREN FROM REMOTE VILLAGES

In many rural and tribal areas, children are deprived of opportunities for higher education due to poverty, the absence of nearby schools and colleges, and long and unsafe travel distances. These barriers often force talented and deserving students to discontinue their education at an early stage.

To address this critical challenge, Promote Education And Community Empowerment proposes to establish a well-equipped hostel facility for children from interior and remote villages. The hostel will provide a safe and supportive environment where students can focus on their studies and personal growth.

THE PROPOSED FACILITY WILL OFFER:

  • • Safe and secure accommodation
  • • Nutritious and hygienic meals
  • • A peaceful and study-friendly environment
  • • Access to a library and learning resources
  • • Academic guidance and mentoring support

This initiative will enable children from marginalized communities to continue their education with dignity, confidence, and equal opportunities, helping them break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

OLD AGE HOME FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Maharashtra is home to nearly 1.25 crore senior citizens, and the number continues to grow due to increased life expectancy. At the same time, rapid urbanization, changing family structures, economic dependency, and limited access to affordable healthcare have created serious challenges for elderly people, especially in rural areas.

Recognizing these growing concerns, Promote Education And Community Empowerment, proposes to establish a well-equipped Old Age Home in Pune District to support 50 elderly individuals from rural communities who lack adequate care and family support.

THE PROPOSED FACILITY WILL PROVIDE:

  • • Safe and dignified shelter
  • • Nutritious food and basic healthcare services
  • • Regular medical check-ups
  • • Emotional support and companionship
  • • A caring and respectful living environment

Many elderly persons, particularly those with reduced mobility and age-related disabilities, require daily assistance and compassionate care. This initiative aims to ensure that senior citizens can live with dignity, security, and emotional well-being during the later stages of their lives.

BENEFICIARIES AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

At present, due to limited financial resources, our organization is able to reach around 200 tribal families across three blocks of Pune District. However, with expanded support and partnerships, we aim to significantly increase our outreach.

Our target for the coming years is to reach at least 500 direct beneficiaries, focusing on holistic community development through the following key interventions:

  • Quality Education for tribal and rural children
  • Skill Development programs for tribal and urban youth
  • Health and Hygiene Awareness initiatives
  • Secure and Sustainable Livelihood Opportunities
  • Women Empowerment and Gender Sensitization programs
  • Renewable Energy Solutions, including Solar Double Light Systems
  • Environmental Sustainability through Vermicompost and Bio-gas initiatives

    • While these initiatives will directly benefit 500 individuals and families, they will also create a significant indirect impact across entire villages, improving educational awareness, economic opportunities, environmental sustainability, and social well-being for thousands of community members.

    Through these efforts, Promote Education And Community Empowerment remains committed to building inclusive, empowered, and sustainable rural communities where every child, youth, woman, and elderly person can live with dignity and opportunity.
