Promote Education And Community Empowerment is a registered non-profit organization established in 2007, committed to the overall development of urban, rural, tribal, and marginalized communities in Pune District, Maharashtra.

The organization actively works across both rural and urban areas of Pune District, reaching communities that remain socially and economically disadvantaged. Since its inception, has adopted an integrated and people-centric development approach, focusing on sustainable solutions that empower communities to lead dignified and self-reliant lives. The organization believes that education, health, gender equality, and environmental protection are the key pillars for long-term social transformation.

Our goal is to create lasting social transformation by enabling communities to become self reliant and resilient.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to build an inclusive, empowered, and sustainable society where every child has access to quality education, every youth has the opportunity to develop skills and secure dignified livelihoods, women are empowered to lead and participate in decision-making, and elderly citizens live with dignity, care, and respect. We envision rural and tribal communities becoming self-reliant, environmentally responsible, and socially empowered, breaking the cycle of poverty and creating opportunities for future generations.

About Founder & President

Mr. Neelesh Yoseph Shinde

Founder & President

Mr. Neelesh Yoseph Shinde is a double Postgraduate from Savitribai Phule Pune University, with a Master’s degree in Social Work (Community Development), Master of Arts (English Literature). His journey in social service began at the age of 10, when he actively participated in a school charity initiative for HelpAge India and was recognized with a trophy and a certificate of Indian cricketers. This moment became the turning point that inspired him to dedicate his life to serving the marginalized.

With over 20 years of experience in the social development sector, he has worked across Maharashtra with Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), DE notified and Nomadic Tribes, and other vulnerable communities. During his professional journey, he has collaborated with renowned social reformers like Anna Hazare and Popatrao Pawar on the “Ideal Village” development concept.

Empowering communities through education, dignity, and sustainable development is not just our mission it is our lifelong commitment.

He has served in various national and international NGOs, progressing from Project Coordinator to Program Manager, and has successfully implemented projects in:

Driven by a deep passion for empowering the poorest of the poor, he founded Promote Education And Community Empowerment (2007) with a vision to create sustainable and inclusive development.

Under his leadership, the organization:

Provides educational support to tribal and underprivileged children

Conducts health camps and awareness programs for rural and tribal communities

Implements skill development training for rural women

Works in coordination with government departments for overall development of urban, rural and tribal communities.

His commitment, integrity, and grassroots approach have earned appreciation from eminent personalities and strong support from local communities.
